Many many reasons to tell.

One is to learn if the other betrayed spouse knew or turned a blind eye to the affair, in which case they are also accountable

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. It's been very healing. For a long time, I've been beating myself up for things that I thought I could have done better to save my marriage. Gradually, I came to terms that these are just the gaslighting that the WS had done to me, to make WS's divorce decision easier to bear for the WS and less selfish.
